Our mission is to change children's lives.

In South Africa:

  • One in three children is sexually abused before age 18
  • More babies are killed than anywhere else in the world
  • AIDS has orphaned more than 1 million children
  • One in every 10 high school learners in Gauteng views pornography, every day.

At Jelly Beanz, we believe children should be free. Free to live. To love. To learn. To play and to grow, knowing that they matter. We know that most children and families who’ve experienced trauma and abuse don’t have access to mental health services and the support they need. So we reach out to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

  • We provide individual and group therapy to children who’ve suffered trauma and abuse
  • We create therapeutic tools and treatment programmes
  • We provide training to professionals who work with child protection and mental health.

Our first love is doing therapeutic work with children. But we know that to make a real difference, we’ve got to reach many, many more children. That’s why we focus on growing professionals’ skills, on developing creative African resources and programmes, and on standing up for children’s rights. By doing this work with passion, we can extend the impact of what we do to create change in the lives of South Africa’s children.
